Once Human's console launch is barely a month old, and Starry Studio is already keeping the update pipeline moving. Version 3.0.5 went live on September 2, adding a Storage Search feature, an upgraded Fashion Dye system, and Portable Crafting for the RaidZone mode, alongside the usual round of bug fixes. A second maintenance window followed on September 16, continuing the roughly two-week patch rhythm the game has held for most of the year.

Console launch adds a new dimension to the update calendar

The bigger structural news is Once Human's console debut on August 25, bringing the survival title to PlayStation and Xbox with full cross-platform sync — progress carries over seamlessly across PC, mobile, and console. That's a meaningful technical lift for a game that started as a PC-and-mobile title, and it changes how Starry Studio has to think about every future patch: updates now need to land across three platform ecosystems roughly in step, rather than just two.

Quality-of-life additions like Storage Search matter more than they might sound — Once Human's survival loop generates a lot of inventory clutter over a season, and a searchable stash is the kind of fix that disproportionately improves the experience for players deep into a long-running world.

"The Year of the Monsters" isn't over yet

Starry Studio framed 2026 as "the Year of the Monsters" for Once Human, promising more Deviations — the game's mutated, horror-tinged enemy encounters — new scenarios, visual upgrades, and a heavier focus on narrative and PvE content across the year. Some of that roadmap is still ahead: an island-themed PvE chapter is described as being in deep development, and a crossover with the Chinese novel X (10) Days Till the End is planned but not yet dated.

Recent and upcoming changes, at a glance:

  • August 25 — Console launch on PlayStation and Xbox with full cross-platform progress sync.
  • September 2 — Version 3.0.5: Storage Search, Fashion Dye upgrade, RaidZone Portable Crafting.
  • September 16 — Follow-up maintenance and update window.
  • Still ahead — an island-themed PvE chapter and an X (10) Days Till the End collaboration, both part of the 2026 roadmap.

Once Human's seasonal-reset structure has always been its biggest bet: trading persistent long-term progression for repeated fresh starts tied to new scenarios. Bringing consoles into that cycle now raises the stakes on every reset going forward, since a much larger, more diverse player base needs each new season to land cleanly across every platform at once.

With the island PvE chapter and novel crossover still to come this year, Once Human's console honeymoon period is likely to be judged less on this month's quality-of-life patch and more on whether the bigger promised content actually ships before 2026 runs out.
